Access to and use of the our website is subject to the following terms and conditions:
By using our website you accept the terms and conditions for using this website. If you do not agree to these, then please do not use our website.
Subject to the Terms of this agreement, you are authorised to view and download our website for your personal use only.
You are permitted to use our website solely on the basis of acceptance of these terms.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all information contained on the Walkabout website is accurate and up-to-date, we make no warranty as to its accuracy. Any and all use of information contained on our website is at your own risk. We shall not be liable for any direct or consequential loss arising from your access to and/or use of or inability to access and/or use the website.
Any and all images of people and/or places and/or events are lawfully used by us and that any misuse of these images by you is prohibited. Any such misuse of images may be a violation of copyright law, trademark law, rights of privacy, laws of defamation and/or obscenity and other legal provisions.
We reserve all rights as copyright proprietor of the website and prohibits without limitation downloading, distribution, exhibition, copying, adaptation, modification of and dealing in any copyright material contained therein without the express written authorisation of the organisation.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to update and/or revise these terms. Please check periodically for changes.
 
Bookings and Resevations
The amount that a customer’s card will be charged at the time of booking will depend on the type of the booking that has been placed:
If the area has a minimum spend attached, but no packages have been pre-ordered:
The customer has the option to pay the minimum spend in full, or pay a deposit, at the time of booking.
•If the customer chooses to pay the minimum spend in full at time of booking, their card will be charged for the full amount immediately.
•If the customer chooses to pay a deposit only, the deposit the customer is charged will be whichever is greater – either £50, or 10% of the minimum spend. The outstanding balance will need to be paid in full in venue on arrival at the till.
•The minimum spend fee will be redeemable against the customer’s food/drink tab in venue on night of their event.
If the area has a minimum spend attached, and the customer has also pre-ordered food/drink package(s) – but the total value of the package is LESS than the minimum spend of the space
The customer has the option to pay the minimum spend in full, or pay a deposit, at the time of booking. The cost of any pre ordered package will be offset against this.
•If the customer chooses to pay the minimum spend in full at time of booking, their card will be charged for the full amount immediately.
•If the customer chooses to pay a deposit only, the deposit the customer is charged will be whichever is greater – either £50, or 10% of the minimum spend. The outstanding balance will need to be paid in full in venue on arrival at the till.
•The minimum spend fee will be redeemable against the customer’s food/drink tab in venue on night of their event (once the cost of the package has been deducted)
If the area has a minimum spend attached, and the customer has also pre-ordered food/drink package(s) – but the total value of the package is MORE than the minimum spend of the space
The customer has the option to pay the package cost in full, or pay a deposit, at the time of booking. No additional minimum spend costs will apply.
•If the customer chooses to pay the package cost in full at time of booking, their card will be charged for the full amount immediately.
•If the customer chooses to pay a deposit only, the deposit the customer is charged will be whichever is greater – either £50, or 10% of the package cost. The outstanding balance will need to be paid in full in venue on arrival at the till.
•Any additional food/drink will need to be paid for in venue on the night of the booking.
If the area has no minimum spend attached, but the customer has pre-ordered food/drink package(s)
If the food/drink package costs less than £50, the customer will have to pay for the package cost in full at time of booking – no deposit option will be offered.
If the food/drink package costs more than £50, the customer has the option to pay the package cost in full, or pay a deposit, at the time of booking. No additional minimum spend costs will apply.
•If the customer chooses to pay the package cost in full at time of booking, their card will be charged for the full amount immediately.
•If the customer chooses to pay a deposit only, the deposit the customer is charged will be whichever is greater – either £50, or 10% of the package cost. The outstanding balance will need to be paid in full in venue on arrival at the till.
•Any additional food/drink will need to be paid for in venue on the night of the booking.
No bookings can be made online via the website after 1am on the day of the proposed event booking.
Reservations
•Reservations made 120 hours in advance of the event start time will reserve an area for 24 hours, without a deposit being taken. If the booking is not confirmed with the venue within this period, the customer will lose their reservation, and the space will be available for other customers to book.
•Any reservations made less than 120 hours, but more than 72 hours, in advance of an event start time can be reserved for 6 hours without a deposit being taken. If the booking is not confirmed with the venue within this period, the customer will lose their reservation, and the space will be available for other customers to book.
•No reservations can be made if the enquiry is for an event that takes place in less than 72 hours.
To confirm a Reservation as a Booking, the customer must contact their venue and confirm their booking.
Cancellations
If you made your booking online via www.walkaboutbars.co.uk, if you wish to cancel your booking you must log back onto your booking at www.walkabout bars.co.uk/users/login
If you made your booking with the venue directly, you will need to call the venue and ask them to cancel your booking
If you have not paid a deposit/minimum spend fee or purchased any food or drink packages (i.e. no transaction has been made), you may cancel your booking at any time.
If you have paid a deposit/minimum spent or purchased a food/drink package (i.e. made a transaction), the following cancellation policies apply:
•If you cancel your booking more than 5 days in advance of 1am on the day of the booking, we shall refund the full you amount paid. If you cancel your booking less than 5 days in advance of 1am on the day of the event:
oIf the amount you have paid is £50 or less, you will lose this
oIf the amount you have paid is over £50, you will lose whichever is greater: £50 or 10% of the total transaction.
Please note that all deposits and minimum spend fees must be redeemed against the customer’s tab on the night of the booking in the form of food or drink. If any part of this fee is not redeemed on the night of booking, the remainder will not be refunded. Once the deposit/minimum spend has been redeemed in full against the customer’s tab, any additional drinks or food must be paid for separately as additional costs on the night.
For security reasons we will require the card details, used in the booking, for any alterations, reductions or cancellations.
We are unable to alter any bookings by email or fax.
No alterations, reductions or cancellations can be made after 1.00am the day of the booking.
If your card is declined you will be contacted for an alternative card number or you will be asked to pay in person.
Length of booking
If you have booked for a sporting event, your area is yours for an hour after the game finishes. Please ensure you arrive at your area at least 15 minutes prior to the match starting.
If you have booked for a specified Walkabout Evening Party Event, the area is yours for the whole night from your time of arrival onwards.
If you have booked a daytime table (pre 7pm) that is not attributed to a specific sport or party event, we will allocate the table to you for 2.5 hours. If you want to stay longer, please give us a call and we will see if we can extend this.
Your area will be kept for 25 minutes after your booking time however if you do not arrive in this time period, or let the venue know that you are running late, your spot may be given away. So please do let us know if you are having issues making the time of your booking.
